St. Jude Replaces Wheelchairs With Red Wagons for Patients
You hear us talk all the time about how St. Jude Children's Research Hospital does things just a little bit differently -- and this is an excellent example of that.
I've had the privilege to visit the hospital in Memphis a few times and when you walk around the halls there, you notice how St. Jude isn't like a traditional hospital.
A traditional hospital tends to have tan walls and while ceilings with cold florescent lights. That's not St. Jude.
At a traditional hospital, wheelchairs are the common mode of transportation -- that's not St. Jude, either.
At St. Jude, as long as a child is able to, they move from one side of the building to the other in a red wagon.
That simple change can make a huge difference to a child is battling cancer. It's just one tiny way that child can feel 'normal.'
You can help the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital simply by making a phone call.
You can help keep those wagons rolling through the halls of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
