Stafford Township’s Martin Truex Jr. One Race Away From NASCAR Championship

The NASCAR Sprint Cup driver from Southern Ocean County is one race away from winning the season championship.

Martin Truex Jr., along with three other drivers, has advanced to the final stage of "The Chase" - NASCAR's season ending championship. The title will be decided in Sunday's race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Competing against Truex for the championship will be defending Cup champ Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Jeff Gordon - who will be running the last race of his career.

The driver of the four who finishes with the most points in Sunday's race will be declared NASCAR's champion.
