Tyler Farr Marries Hannah Freeman
Congratulations to Tyler Farr and his fiancee Hannah Freeman -- they're now husband and wife!
Farr and Freeman tied the knot on Monday evening (Oct. 10), in a 30-minute, outdoor ceremony in Nolensville, Tenn., People reports. The pavilion under which they said their vows was decorated with sunflowers, and among the 220 guests were Farr's summer tourmates Maddie & Tae, as well as Jason Aldean, Lee Brice and Colt Ford, all of whom acted as groomsmen. Brad Paisley, Farr's tour boss for the summer, performed his new single "Today" for the happy couple during their reception.
“I’ve only had a few serious relationships in my life, and I was not expecting to fall off the deep end when I met her,” Farr says of Freeman. “But when I first began spending time with her, it was just over. I just knew. She is probably the kindest person I’ve ever met."
The singer and his now-wife dated for two and a half years before getting engaged on May 10, 2015. Their big moment wasn't the typical "at a fancy candlelit dinner" or "on the beach at sunset" story, though; it was unique to the country star and his passion for music. Farr proposed at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, after arranging special access into the venue.
"Truly the best moment of my life!" he said in a statement when the news was announced. "And I honestly couldn’t think of a better church than the Mother Church of Country Music.”
After he popped the question, Farr announced the exciting news on Instagram, saying, “Proud to say I’m engaged to my best friend and the most amazing woman I’ve ever known."
Farr is open about the fact that it took some heartbreak to find the girl who is the "whiskey in his water" (and the "moon in his 'shine"!) -- but he doesn't regret it.
"Yes, I’m a sucker for heartbreak songs,” Farr says. “But with every heartache, you learn, and that coincides with my music career; which all the times and trials led me to find my best friend, a woman that truly makes me a better person."
