While we all know New Jersey is the best state in the country (clearly), let's be honest: we do got some problems here.

Sure, the Shore is terrific, the Pine Barrens are incredible, the mountains in the northern part of the state are fantastic -- but we don't live in a utopia. No one does.

With 9,267,000 people jammed into 7,354 square miles of land, we're gonna get on each others nerves.

So what often happens as a result? Crime.

But crime is not limited to the big cities like Newark, Trenton, and Camden.

To put things in perspective, a we turned to some numbers recently reported via a website for a legal firm to look at the 15 cities in New Jersey with the highest rates of violent crime.

The rankings come as a result of looking at cities with a population of over 10,000 people that supplied crime information to the FBI (Atlantic City did not do so, so they are not included in the rankings below).
