In case you've been living under a rock for the past two to three years, nobody uses taxis anymore. If you're planning on gallivanting around town this weekend, chances are you're going to use a ride-sharing app, especially if you're a millennial.

The two most popular ride-sharing apps in the United States are, of course, Uber and Lyft. Uber has been around longer than Lyft and most are more familiar with it. At the very least, most people have heard of the brand before, even if they don't know what it is.

The question was posed via social media regarding which service South Jersey preferred and the results are in!

South Jersey prefers...... UBER!

It basically came down to price and type of cars allowed. The consensus was that although Lyft is cheaper, it seems like their standards are a bit lower than Uber's when it comes to drivers and their cars. Someone commented on the Facebook post that he encountered garbage in the backseat of his Lyft.

Not something you want to deal with on the way home from a night out, for sure.
