Dear Governor Murphy,

I see you implementing all of these COVID safeguards and I can't help to think that maybe you're not looking at this logically. Are you consulting tea leaves?

Why do the same restrictions apply in each of the state's 21 counties, even though the penetration of the virus has not been universal state-wide? South Jersey is not the same as North Jersey. (I'm not doing a comedy bit here, Governor. When it comes to COVID, we're not being hit equally hard.)

Do you know for a fact that the virus is spreading in bars and restaurants after 10pm and before 5pm? Why the time specification? Does the virus only travel at night? Dpes it only pass from bar stool to bar stool?

Before you answer that, Governor, I want to bring your attention to an article published in the Wall Street Journal over the weekend. Hey, you're a Wall Street guy - you had to see it!

The article is, "As Covid-19 Surges, the Big Unknown is Where People Are Getting Infected." Read the article and you find out that WE REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW AND WHERE PEOPLE ARE GETTING THE VIRUS!

In the article, a New York City public health advisor is quoted as saying that while some cases are tracable, "The vast majority of the remainder—somewhere probably around 50% or more—we don’t have a way to directly attribute their source of infection."

WE DON'T KNOW!

The article states that other countries have come to the same conclusion - WE DON'T KNOW!

So, Governor Murphy, HOW DO YOU KNOW?

Your previous restrictions didn't stop this latest rise to happen, why are the new restrictions going to make a difference?

Tell us, Governor, HOW DO YOU KNOW?
