Boating Accident Captain Funeral Today

Funeral services are being held today for a southern Ocean County commercial fishing captain, whose boat capsized last week.

Reports say a funeral mass takes place at 11AM at the St. Francis Of Assisi Church in Brant Beach for 53-year-old Jim Mears. A Coast Guard investigation continues into the accident that caused the Mandy Ness to capsize. They’re looking into whether another boat struck the vessel late Tuesday night.
