A shooting range in South Jersey is facing criticism for billboards some call racist.

South Jersey Shooting Club has two billboards with the text "The only time we take a knee" in reference to the NFL protests. The signs feature a silhouette of a man kneeling with a rifle, the gun range's logo, and website. The one billboard is located in Vorhees near Route 73 and the other is in Pennsauken near Route 73 on a digital sign.

Many people have found this billboard to be racist. However the owner of South Jersey Shooting Club, Wesley Aducat, told Philly.com, "It has absolutely nothing to do with race. It’s just support for our veterans."

However, the Camden County East chapter of the NAACP believes the billboards turns the NFL kneeling protest and changes the meaning to belittle true reasoning. They explained that the kneeling done by NFL players is to turn focus on police brutality and racism against African Americans.

People on social media spoke out for and against the billboard.
