Cape May County To Introduce Social Distancing Ambassadors
In an effort to push South Jersey closer and closer to a complete reopening, Cape May County has announced their new plan to ensure social distancing mandates are adhered to even when things start to get back to normal.
The county announced on their website the launch of their Six Feet Saves campaign. In addition to providing people with educational materials detailing proper safety measures and precautions while the state figures out what comes next, the campaign will also introduce individuals to the community known as 'social distancing ambassadors'. The ambassadors will be responsible for maintaining the health mandates set forth by the powers that be to ensure all residents remain safe and healthy while working to return to a new normal.
The program is set to launch on May 15th. Those on the ambassador team will be assigned vests with the county seal to be worn so they're easily identified.
The Social Distancing Ambassadors will have a presence all over and around the Cape May County communities, including beaches, boardwalks and popular downtown destinations.
