Spruce & the Pike in Egg Harbor Township: What’s Going There?

Within the past few weeks, a large lot at the corner of Spruce Avenue and the Black Horse Pike in EHT, which was home to several little houses and a building that's been numerous businesses over the years, was completely cleared.

So, again, we ask the question, what's going there?

The answer: nothing. For now anyway.

Earlier this month, Shore News Today spoke to EHT Township Administrator Peter Miller who said no plans for that site have been filed and officials have not received any indication of the owner’s plans.

Equity Retail Brokers, which is representing the lease and use of the property, says it's a 2.6 acre pad site in a "popular area to live and work." Their website says development at that side of Spruce and the Pike could begin next spring.

In the meantime, just across the street, Atlantic Medical Imaging's new building is now taking shape and should be opening later this year.
