A Galloway Township woman was arrested Friday after officers found her using a controlled dangerous substance while her 5-month-old infant was in a car with her.

Around 11:30 Friday morning, Egg Harbor Township Police responded to the English Creek Shopping Center. Officers made contact with 25-year-old Brianna Ross of Galloway Township. An investigation at the scene determined that the suspect had been using CDS with her 5-month-old infant son in the vehicle. The child was checked by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance squad and appeared to be in good health.

Ross was arrested at the scene and was charged with possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles and endangering the welfare of a child. Bail was set at $30,000 and Ross was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The Division of Child Protection and Permanency took custody of the child.
