I want to take a minute to thank New Jersey's road crews for some amazing and thankless work through another mind-boggling New Jersey winter storm.
Tribute To The Workers Who Helped Us During The Winter Storm
I know what a lot of you are thinking. How can I thank road crews when my roads haven't been plowed or took so long to plow?
I understand that, but if you're getting mad at the men and women who are out there doing their best to get these roads cleared, you might be angry at the wrong people.
Those hardworking neighbors who are part of the cleanup crews aren't the people who decide on budgets, hiring, and purchases. Your road may be unplowed due to staffing or budget issues, but not because those people aren't working hard.
Crews Work Hard To Restore New Jersey Power
The same conversation can be had about the crews who have been working hard to restore the power. Their job is difficult and critical as well, and they can't control snowfall or wind speeds.

These fine folks leave the warmth of their own home to help the community dig out of what could be the storm of the decade, and I, for one, appreciate them.
Can you imagine leaving the kids behind in the middle of a storm like that to do your important job and help people all over your community? That is hero work as far as I'm concerned.

So, thanks to the hard-working people who are helping us get out of New Jersey's latest winter storm. We couldn't do it without you.
