Maybe it’s the boardwalks glowing in the twilight. Or the smell of saltwater and sunscreen as crowds gather, eyes turned toward the sky. Maybe it’s the fact that in New Jersey, we do everything just a little louder, a little prouder, and with a whole lot more heart.

Recently, one Shore town received high praises with their 4th of July fireworks show. It's one of the BEST on the East coast and one of the best in the US. It's Ocean City, NJ.

Why Ocean City, NJ Is One of the Best Places in America to Watch Fireworks

From vacationmadeeasy.com, "The Independence Day fireworks are preceded by live music as visitors and residents find a spot to plop down and enjoy a picnic and the entertainment while waiting for the highlight of the evening. Finally, at 10 p.m., Ocean City’s fantastic show of fireworks off the boardwalk begins, sending a colorful display of patriotism shooting into the darkened sky above the Atlantic Ocean."

We’re not just watching fireworks, we’re celebrating community, honoring service, and creating memories. It’s kids catching their first sparkler. Sparklers were absolute favorite growing up, I still love them. That sizzle when lighting them, it takes me right back to childhood.

Families reuniting on the sand. Neighbors grilling together. This is the New Jersey summer story we all live for.

So this July 4th, grab your blanket, your friends, and your Jersey pride. Let’s light up the sky like only we can.

The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here.
