Gas Prices are Drastically Less in these States, Did New Jersey Make the List
As you know and we can just look at our busy New Jersey roads this weekend to celebrate one last weekend of summer, at least for Garde State visitors from out of town. For us, in the state, it's our time for the next couple of weeks to enjoy the beach.
What states are gas prices down the most?
According to AAA, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Alaska, and Utah. Where's New Jersey, not on the list of the cheapest.
Where is the cheapest gas in Ocean County, NJ right now?
According to gasbuddy.com, these are the 4 cheapest places to get gas as of yesterday Monday, September 2nd, 2024.
#1 - Costco - $2.99 - Rt. 70 in Brick
#2 - BJ's - $2.99 - Rt 37 W. in Toms River
#3 - Sinclair - $3.01 - Rt. 9 in Bayville
#4 - Conoco - $3.01 - Rt. 70 in Lakehurst
The current prices are way better than the $5 a gallon that we paid in June of 2022. So we'll take it. Although, if you can remember Labor Day gas prices were cheaper prior to 2022, according to cnn.com. From cnn.com: "For instance, in 2020, US gas prices averaged $2.22 a gallon on Labor Day, according to GasBuddy. Of course, that ultra-low price reflected very low demand during the Covid-19 crisis. But even in 2019, the average Labor Day gas price was $2.56 a gallon."
Let's keep the gas prices down in New Jersey, please.
