A hit and run accident in a Gloucester Township, New Jersey park has left a man seriously injured. Now, police need help finding the driver responsible.

The Scene of the Crime

Gloucester Township Police say they were called to Gloucester Township Park Monday around 3 p.m. after receiving information about a man who appeared hurt and bleeding, KYW News Radio in Philly reports.

When cops arrived to the park, located off Hickstown Road and Peter Cheeseman Road, First Responders were already administering aid to the victim.

The man's injuries were so serious he needed to be airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ.

What Happened?

An on-site investigation found that some sort of argument ensued shortly before the hit and run, but police don't yet know if the victim was involved or if he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

What Gloucester Township Police Department does know for sure is that a person behind the wheel of a dark-colored sedan struck the victim and took off, leaving the park from an unknown exit.

Now, they're asking for help from the public to identify the suspect. The vehicle in question is black or dark blue with four doors and tinted windows.
