USA Today Names Four South Jersey Boardwalks Among Top 10 in Nation

Southern New Jersey has three of the Top 10 boardwalks in the country according to USA Today readers.

When it comes to boardwalks, the Jersey Shore does it the best, with three of the top five, including the No. 1 boardwalk, located in Atlantic and Cape May County.

Wildwood Claims the No. 1 Boardwalk Spot Again

For the second year in a row, Wildwood was named the top boardwalk in the country.

Originally a 150-yard boardwalk at its inception in the 1890s, the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey, now stretches for 38 blocks and is packed with shops, restaurants, bars, water parks, and an amusement pier featuring over 100 attractions. This is the second year in row that Wildwood has topped the list.

Ocean City Boardwalk

Coming in at No. 3 on the list, staying in Cape May County,  is the Ocean City boardwalk.

The bustling 2.5-mile Boardwalk is one of the most iconic destinations in Ocean City. Stretching from St. James Place to 23rd Street, it offers something for everyone — from thrilling amusement rides and unique, eclectic shops to delicious dining options and the historic Ocean City Music Pier. For generations of families, a visit to “the Boards” has become a cherished and highly anticipated tradition.

Atlantic City Boardwalk

Finally,  in Atlantic County, the Atlantic City boardwalk was named as the No. 5 boardwalk in the country.

The Atlantic City Boardwalk ranks among the most famous in the nation. Built in 1870, the boardwalk is lined with everything from high-end retailers to classic candy shops, casinos, and beach bars, all with ocean views.

At No. 10, Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk gives New Jersey four of the 10 best boardwalks in the USA.
