How Many Millions May Atlantic City Mayor Lawsuit Vs. Prosecutor Cost?
Make no mistake about it, a massive lawsuit versus the Atlantic County, New Jersey Prosecutor is coming on behalf of three Atlantic City leaders.
- Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small
- Atlantic City Superintendent of Public Schools — La’Quetta Small
- Atlantic City High School Principal — Constance Days-Chapman
We broke the story first earlier this week, within minutes of attorney Jordan Barbone filing a tort claim notice against:
- Atlantic County Prosecutor Will Reynolds.
- Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson.
- The County of Atlantic … meaning you, the taxpayers.
Tort Claim Notice
Must be filed before you can officially file a lawsuit against a government entity.
Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson
Is an innocent man here. Levinson did everything possible to help Reynolds help himself.
Instead, Reynolds has launched a contentious letter writing campaign against Levinson, which has been highly unproductive.
Levinson has had nothing but aggravation from Reynolds regarding this matter.
$ 3 Million Dollars Each?
The tort claim notice calls for $ 3 million dollars each for both Smalls and Days-Chapman. That’s $ 9 million total for their upcoming malicious prosecution lawsuit.
Multiple Sources
Have shared with me that this number will actually be much higher.
Malicious Prosecution
Is very difficult to prove. It’s hard to say which way this will go.
However, Small — Small & Days-Chapman have a lot of evidence to work with here.
They stand a good chance to recover.
It’s a shame that the Atlantic County taxpayers will be on the hook
