
Newark, NJ, Authorities Seek Public’s Help Identifying Shooting Suspect
Authorities in Newark are asking for help as they attempt to identify a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting back in January.
That shooting took place at around 1:45 early Wednesday morning, January 28th, in the area of Broadway and Grafton Avenue.
The Newark Public Safety Office says responding officers located ballistics evidence and later found a male victim who was not hurt; however, the hood of the victim's vehicle had been damaged by gunfire.
Detectives continue investigating this incident and are asking for help from the public in identifying the pictured individual, who was allegedly seen on surveillance cameras discharging a firearm, striking that victim's vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Newark Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at (877) NWK-TIPS (695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
