Philly Man Gets 15 Years for Exploiting 15-year-old South Jersey Girl
A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on child porn charges in connection with a 15-year-old girl in South Jersey.
35-year-old Francisco Andres-Medina previously pleaded guilty to two counts of an indictment charging him with receipt of child pornography and transfer of obscene material to a minor.
On Wednesday, he was sentenced to 180 months behind bars.
Online Communication with Camden County Teen
Federal authorities say in March and April 2020, Medina communicated over the internet with a 15-year-old victim in Camden County. Once he learned that she was 15, he sent her obscene pictures. He also had the teenager produce videos and images of her engaged in sexually explicit conduct, which were sent to him. Medina also directed the victim to send him a video of her having sex with another individual.
Project Safe Childhood Case
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
