
Police: 16-year-old Shoots Man During Argument in Glassboro, NJ
A 16-year-old is facing charges after allegedly shooting a man during an argument in Glassboro last weekend.
The Glassboro Police Department says their officers were called to the area of Church and Wilmer Streets around 7:30 last Sunday evening.
The victim, Ralph Carr, was engaged in a verbal dispute with other residents in the neighborhood and prior to engaging in a physical altercation, a 16 year old suspect, pulled out a gun and fired several shots at Carr, striking him once in the leg.
Carr was transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment and he was released.
Through a thorough investigation conducted by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office and the Glassboro Police Department, officers were able to quickly interview witnesses and positively identify and charge the juvenile
He was committed to the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Facility on second-degree charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
