One man was arrested after police say shots were fired during a dispute in Cape May County last Thursday.

The Lower Township Police Department says their officers were called to Stanley Lane in the Villas for a report of a "loud dispute and suspected shots fired."

An investigation determined that a dispute between two men resulted in three shots being fired from a handgun.

No one was injured in this incident.

Their investigation culminated in the execution of a search warrant by the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team at the home of the accused, Nathan A. Menzano, Jr.

Police say multiple firearms and evidence related to the shooting were seized.

Menzano Jr. has been charged with the following:

  • Second-degree aggravated assault
  • Second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose
  • Second-degree possession of a handgun without permit to carry
  • Third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm
  • Third-degree terroristic threats
  • Third-degree possession of a sawed-off shotgun
  • Third-degrre possession of CDS

Menzano, Jr., is being held at the Cape May County Correctional Center pending court proceedings.

The incident was investigated by the Lower Township Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
