Atlantic City Police say investigation into drug distribution resulted in the arrest of an Atlantic City man and the recovery of narcotics.

Thursday afternoon, detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment in the Altman Terrace public housing facility located in the 1000 block of Arctic Avenue. Authorities arrested 52-year-old Ronald Legette of Atlantic City after cops say various drugs were found in the apartment, including 500 individual bags of heroin, 16 grams of cocaine, 33 Xanax pills, and drug distribution paraphernalia.

Legette was charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,00 feet of a school zone, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, and a single count of possession of a prescription legend drug, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was released on a summons with a future court date.
