An Atlantic City man is facing charges in connection to a self-inflicted shooting incident in the city back in February.

Atlantic City Police say back on February 23rd, officers responded to the 1500 block of Reading Avenue for a report of a man who had been shot. The wounded man, identified as 51-year-old Lawrence Trader, was found inside of a home; he was taken to ARMC-City for treatment of a serious injury..

An investigation by detectives revealed that Trader had shot himself with a gun that had been reported stolen from Ohio.

Trader, who is still receiving medical treatment for his injuries, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, certain person not to possess a weapon, and receiving stolen property. Due to his medical condition, he was issued a summons with a future court date.
