NJ Man Charged With DWI For Drinking ‘Catnip’ and Driving
A New Jersey man is facing charges after police say he admitted to getting behind the wheel after drinking a bottle of “Catnip Cocktail”... whatever that means.
Police in Wayne say they pulled the man over for speeding and driving erratically on Saturday evening. Upon the stop, officers realized that the 35-year-old driver was slurring his words and had jerky movement.
The driver claimed to be heading to the hospital after passing off the "Catnip Cocktail" bottle to the passenger in the car. The bottle was in fact labeled, "not for human consumption" and "mood enhancer supplement for cats and dogs".
