NJ Sees It’s Highest Record of Lyme Disease Since New Millennium
You know tick season is in full effect when the VET tells you that she can administer a lyme disease booster to you and your pet....Not actually, but still.
With a rare exotic breed of tick that has been sweeping NJ, the cases of Lyme Disease in our state have reached the highest it's been since 2000--with a record of over 5,000 cases.
Luckily, South Jersey isn't nearly as affected as the rest of the state, considering the highest input record for our area reaches 515 for 2017. The rank for our area, of all 21 counties in NJ, include:
21. Cape May County
19. Salem County
18. Camden County
16. Cumberland County
15. Gloucester County
14. Atlantic County
