Penn State’s Beloved Nittany Lion Vandalized, Now Missing Ear
South Jersey is home to many Nittany Lions, in which case....we have some bad news: The shrine of Penn State, the stone Nittany Lion, has been vandalized and left without one of it's senses at State College.
Police are looking to speak to two suspects who may have been connected to the missing ear of the statue, however; The incident could have also been accidental and occurred during this past weekend's St. Patty's Day celebrations according to NBC Philadelphia.
Don't worry though, the ear is in possession of campus police and will be fixed soon! In the meantime, the Lion himself seems to be very optimistic on Twitter about the process of recovery:
