Purina Animal Nutrition has issued a huge recall of several of its pet/animal food brands across 32 states including in New Jersey.

The products in question are Purina Rabbit Feed, Purina Turkey Feed, Country Acres Rabbit Feed, and DuMOR Chick Starter/Grower Feed, according to FOX Business.

The brands were recalled after several customers complained that the food was causing their pets and animals to become sick.

Purina says it found elevated calcium levels in the food, which could cause severe health issues, including death, in rabbits and young chickens and turkeys.

The affected feed was manufactured by Purina Animal Nutrition between December 16, 2019, and February 3, 2020. A full list of impacted products with lot and item numbers is available on the FDA's website.

Purina says customers who purchased the recalled products are instructed to throw it away or return it to their local animal feed store to exchange the product.
