I've been really impressed with all the accountability posts I've been seeing on social media this week regarding resolutions for the new year.

Of course, everyone is optimistic right now since we're only in the first week of 2021, but watching the videos and seeing posts by people who are putting themselves out there for the sake of accountability regarding those goals has inspired me. I always make the goal every year to lose some weight. I've been successful before; one year I even dropped almost fifty pounds. The pandemic hasn't necessarily been the kindest to me in terms of my weight.

While I'm working on loving the skin I'm in (re: my Instagram post where I opened up about my physical insecurities -- check it out below), I can't lie about the fact that I'm really not super happy about the number on the scale at the moment, so I've decided to put myself out there and hold myself accountable for the goal I've set this year.

I'm not setting a definitive number goal to achieve, but I would like to drop at least twenty pounds. Sooner rather than later, of course, but definitely by the end of the year. If I lose more than that, great. I know 20 lbs may not seem like a lot of weight to lose, but if the motivation isn't consistent, it can take years to achieve.

My first steps are to maintain my gallon of water per day water intake. The next step is to make sure my diet is super clean. I already work out and was doing exceptionally well for the last few months of 2020. The main purpose of this accountability post is to keep myself grounded and focused on the goal.
