We Are The World Was Released 28 Years Ago [VIDEO]

When it happened it was very unique. A bunch of stars from music and entertainment getting together to record a song.
USA for Africa was the name given to the group and "We Are the World" was the name of the song.
The idea behind the creation was to raise money and awareness for suffering that was going on in Africa.
Among those who took part: Michael Jackson, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Lionel Ritchie, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel,  Ray Charles and more.
