How Rachel’s New Healthy Lifestyle Helped Her Lose 30 Pounds

I’ll give you healthy alternatives to some of your favorite meals, deserts and snacks!
So, no junk, no additives/preservatives, no artificial flavoring or any of that gross stuff that I can’t even pronounce.
Just Food.

Now trust me…I get it. I’m a foodie too, and I adore my sweets. But I promise if I can do it, then YOU can too!

Let me preface this series by saying that within the past 6 months, I have lost 30 pounds thanks to a new clean-eating regime that I initially mimicked from the Dr. Oz 2-Week-Diet-Plan.

But because I actually enjoyed what I was eating and the results I was seeing, I decided to modify the diet just a bit (to consume more calories), and turn my clean-eating into a life style choice! In which case, 2-weeks turned into 6-months, and 165 lbs turned into 135 lbs and I couldn’t be more happy with not only how I look, but how I feel!

For those that are curious: my daily eating routine based on my diet would include:

5:30am- Cup of Hot Water with Lemon
9:00am- Breakfast Smoothie (1/2 cup frozen berries, 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1/2 banana, 2 tbs flax seed)
12:00pm- 1 cup of vanilla greek yogurt with 1/2 cup of granola
2:30pm- 1 pickle (It has energy and fat burning components)
3:30pm- cucumbers with hummus
5:00pm- 1/2 cup brown rice, 6 oz of protein, green peppers, tomatoes, avocado
7:00pm- Cup of Green Tea
8:00pm- No food. So…Bed.
*Throughout the day drink LOTS of water, and if you get hungry you’re allowed an unlimited amount of veggies, pickles, almonds, and other snacks that can all be found on Dr. Oz Diet Website.

IMPORTANT: This is a low calorie diet, and it’s suggested that you don’t work out if you’re strict on consumption. But if you modify the diet like I did so that you CAN work out, make sure you’re consuming enough healthy calories before doing so. 

Definitely a little modified but like I said, if i can do it, you guys can do it too! All it takes is some baby steps.  And by watching my video series every Friday, you’ll be able to modify your cravings to a healthier alternative! While still enjoying of course 😉
