There's a lot of anticipation in the Joe Kelly house, as our new floor has arrived!

We've decided to redo our kitchen floor, with the help of Lumber Liquidators, on the Black Horse Pike in Pleasantville.

The journey began a few weeks ago, as I was doing a live Cat Country broadcast from the store. Truthfully, I was floored (floored - get it?) by the varieties of flooring available at Lumber Liquidators. The showroom is filled with hardwood, bamboo, vinyl and more. All sorts of sizes, widths, patterns, colors are on display. What we really liked was the fact that the floor of the showroom is laid with several different flooring choices - so, it was easy to "picture" what several styles would look like...on the floor.

We ended up taking several samples home, and literally leaving them on our kitchen floor to see which we preferred. For several reasons, we went with a click-vinyl floor. It's an easy install, very durable, and cost-efficient. The store manager, Dustin, helped guide us through the process, because, frankly, I'd never picked out flooring before.

Since I lack any sort of construction skills - as well as construction confidence - we decided to go with installation through Lumber Liquidators. We have an appointment in the next few days, and we've been told the install will take less than a day.

In the meantime, we've cracked open one of the boxes and laid a few pieces on top of our current floor. It looks good!
