Who can believe that a flying pumpkin could win you $1,000?

Well, it can!

The 2017 Cat Country Great Pumpkin Drop is happening Halloween Morning - Tuesday, October 31st. One person will win $1,000!

We'll be doing the Cat Country Morning Show live Halloween morning from La Terra Stone on Route 9 in Cape May Court House. All are welcome!

At about 8:30am, volunteers from the Cape May Court House Fire Company will take our giant pumpkin up 107.3 feet into the air with their ladder truck. Then, they'll drop it!

As the pumpkin hits the ground and explodes, the 107 numbered Cat Balls hidden inside will go flying! The numbered Cat Ball that lands closest to our designated target will win someone $1,000 Cash! Another finalist will win Kenny Chesney Concert tickets!

Here's how you can win:

Listen to Joe and Rachel each weekday morning to call in a claim a Cat Ball. You will have 107 chances between now and October 30th.

Once you have a Cat Ball, make sure you show up to our Great Pumpkin Drop Halloween morning at La Terra Stone, and check in by 8:15am. Then, watch the pumpkin drop, just after 8:30!

*This is the only contest we do where we allow you to send a stand-in for you if you yourself can't attend. Your stand-in must check in for you as per the above rules. A stand-in can only stand in for one person. If any Cat Balls go unclaimed by 8:20 am, we will do a drawing to award those Cat Balls to anyone who signs up the morning of the Pumpkin Drop.  You can put your name on the "Back Up List" starting at 6am at our broadcast site at La Terra Stone.

A big thank you to the Cape My Court House Fire Company - and, to Secluded Acres Farm Garden Center of Rio Grande from providing the pumpkin.

All judges decisions will be final and rules are subject to change.

Hopefully, the weather than the pumpkin drop our first year:
