8 Suggestions for 2018 Atlantic City Beach Concerts
Attention people who do the booking for the Atlantic City Beach Concerts: I have some ideas for you.
Here's a look at eight acts that I think would be highly entertaining - and would sell a lot of tickets.
- 1
Kenny Chesney
Look, as much as we would like Chesney to duplicate his 2012 concert on the Wildwood Beach, it's not going to happen. That was a once-in-a-lifetime event. By the way, if Chesney does play the Atlantic City Beach, it won't be a free ticket, like Wildwood. (In Wildwood, American Express payed Kenny Chesney's million-dollar-plus fee, so you didn't have to.)
- 2
Garth Brooks
We might as well shoot for the stars, right?
- 3
Florida Georgia Line
Florida Georgia Line has always done well in Atlantic City, playing to sold out crowds at Boardwalk Hall. FGL was scheduled to play the beach back in 2016, but the show was cancelled over concerns about an approaching hurricane. TRIVIA QUESTION: What was the name of that hurricane? (ANSWER: Hermine.)
- 4
Carrie Underwood
Carrie is another artist who's packed `em in at Boardwalk Hall. She certainly has attraction to non-country fans as well.
- 5
Keith Urban
With his added exposure over the last couple years on "American Idol", Urban would sell a lot of tickets. A great entertainer and musician, too!
- 6
Thomas Rhett
If any current artists is poised to enter the Kenny Chesney Stratosphere in the near future, it's Thomas Rhett. He's ready to pop - would be an excellent choice!
- 7
Miranda Lambert
She, too, has filled Boardwalk Hall. A great choice!
- 8
Dierks Bentley
Dierks Bentley has played Atlantic City for years. He played a Cat Country Backyard BBQ in Egg Harbor Township for 65 people at the beginning of his career. He's also played the House of Blues and Boardwalk Hall. The beach is the next step!
