Thanks to some sharp-eyed camera operators, the Atlantic City Police Department says two 15-year-old males were arrested for robbery with help from Surveillance Center personnel.

Officials with the ACPD say early Wednesday night, two of their officers responded to the 1300 block of Atlantic Avenue for a report of a robbery. Officers arrived to meet a mother and her teenage daughter who reported that as they were walking, the teen was assaulted and had her cell phone taken by two males. The teenager received medical treatment on scene.

Police continued the account,

Surveillance Center personnel began to check the cameras in the area of the robbery and located the two suspects before and after the robbery. Officers went to a residence in the Disston Apartments and located two fifteen year old males that were involved. One male was in possession of the stolen cell phone. Both males were arrested.

The two 15-year-olds, both from Atlantic City, were charged with robbery, simple assault, and conspiracy. Both were remanded to Harborfields Detention Facility in Egg Harbor City.
