A teenager is facing charges in Atlantic City after cops say he robbed and assaulted a man Thursday evening.

According to the ACPD, officers responded to the 1700 block of Arctic Avenue around 5:15 PM Thursday for the report of a man who had been assaulted.

Officers located the victim, a 49-year-old man from Atlantic City, with injuries to his upper body. Cops say the victim had been assaulted and his cell phone and wallet stolen. He was taken to ARMC-City for treatment.

An investigation led to a suspect living in an apartment on the same block. The suspect, a 14-year-old male, was located in the apartment and had injuries to his hands. He was arrested without incident.

The teenager has been charged with robbery, theft, and simple assault. He was remanded to Harborfields Detention Facility.
