You Picked Them — 23 Best Places to Get a Hoagie/Sub in Southern NJ

I apologize in advance because if you are a hoagie/sub fanatic, this list is either going to cause an argument between you and your friends or you're going to send me a passionate email asking why your favorite place isn't on here.

Regardless, we are fortunate enough to live in an area where you can get an absolutely incredible hoagie/sub at just about any time of day.

I mean, if you live in Kansas or Nebraska and you want a sub ("hoagie" is a foreign word out there), your options are probably the Subway over there or the Quiznos over there.

Not that there's anything wrong with Subway, but what they make versus what you can get at a local mom-and-pop deli in South Jersey is a night and day difference.

Some spots around here, you can walk out with two pounds of deli meat on a freshly baked roll.

We recently combed the internet, specifically a number of hoagie-related Facebook groups, to come up with a list of 23 best places to get a hoagie/sub from one side of South Jersey to the other.

Sure, the places that you think will be on a list like this are on the list -- White House in Atlantic City, etc. -- but there are two dozen other delis and eateries that are certainly worth a visit.

And a quick note: you know what your favorite kind of hoagie is. I'm not about to tell you what to get at these places. The purpose of this list is for you to seek out some great local delis and restaurants and try what they have to offer. I certain;y don't think you'll be disappointed.
