They say, "if you see something, say something." An Atlantic City resident did just that and a gun, drugs, and money have been taken off the streets as a result.

Atlantic City Police say around noon Thursday, detectives were investigating information that had been phoned into the department regarding the distribution of narcotics from Knights Inn at 500 North Albany Avenue.

During their investigation, cops say they came in contact with 24-year-old Joel Carlo-Ayhllon of Philadelphia after they saw him in a narcotic transaction. Carlo-Ayhllon had an active warrant for his arrest and was arrested. During a search of his motel room, detectives recovered a loaded handgun, 1,000 bags of heroin, 3.5 grams of cocaine and $9,638 in cash, according to authorities.

Carlo-Ayhllon was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, two counts each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), and possession with the intent to distribute. Carlo-Ayhllon was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
