Google Arts & Culture App Picks Country Stars’ Portrait Doubles
When Google updated their Arts & Culture app in December, they added a feature that takes users' selfies and match them to the portraits in their database of artwork. In mid-January, the feature caught on, and the selfie matches went viral -- so viral, in fact, that the Arts & Culture app became the most-downloaded app on the web.
Part of the fun of the Google Arts & Culture app is that it taps into both well-known portraits and more obscure pieces of art. The Boot loaded some up-close shots of a few of country music's biggest stars into the app to find their selfie doppelgangers ... and some of them are pretty darn good.
