
Post Office Clerk, 25, Dies in Fiery Vineland Crash
A South Jersey woman died in a crash early Monday, June 29, when her car left the road before hitting a building and becoming engulfed in flames.
Vineland Woman Dies in Fiery Crash
Vineland Police say that Jewelyn Bruce, 25, of Vineland, was alone in her grey 2026 KIA K5, driving northbound on S. Delsea Drive at about 2:17 am, when she left her lane and struck a curb near the entrance to LaTorre Hardware.
The car drove onto the property, then reentered the roadway and spun out.
The woman lost control of the vehicle, and it went onto the property of the wedding venue, Bob Morgan Entertainment, and struck the building, bursting into flames.
Police Arrived to Find Car on Fire
When Vineland Police arrived shortly after, they found the car on fire in the building's parking lot with Bruce still inside.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Vineland Police say the crash is still under investigation and they encourage anyone with information to contact them.
Jewelyn Bruce Was a Postal Worker
According to her obituary, Jewelyn Bruce was a 2019 graduate of Vineland High School and had been working for the US Postal Service as a postal clerk at the Elmer Post Office for the past three years.
Jewelyn lived life to the fullest and was always looking forward to her next adventure. She loved spending long summer days at the beach, traveling to new places, and making unforgettable memories on vacations. Whether it was a weekend getaway or a trip somewhere new, she cherished every opportunity to explore the world with the people she loved.
Jewelyn had a free spirit and a vibrant personality that could brighten any room. Jewelyn loved music and dancing, never passing up the chance to have fun and make people laugh. She also enjoyed expressing herself through tattoos, with each one representing a special memory, milestone, or part of who she was. Her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 1 pm at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, in Upper Deerfield Township.
