Egg Harbor Township, NJ High School Grad Showcases For NFL Scouts

With the College Football season over, we enter the offseason when many players make decisions about their futures.  Part of that process is when these athletes are invited to College Football All-Star Games so NFL scouts get to see more of them as we are three months away from the 2024 NFL Draft.

One South Jersey High School Graduate had the opportunity to participate in one of those College Football Showcase games this weekend.  A Graduate from Egg Harbor Township High School, Linebacker Yvandy Rigby was afforded the opportunity to showcase his skills in Orlando, Florida at the 2024 Tropical Bowl.

Even though the game was played on Saturday January 20th, some of the most important days for NFL Draft prospects is during the week of practice leading up to kickoff.  Rain delayed some of those practices, but the 6'2" Rigby still was given the unique opportunity after another stellar College Football season.  31 NFL Scouts along with Pro Football Front Office Personnel from the CFL were in attendance all week.

Rigby played as a Graduate Student during the 2023 season for the Temple Owls Football Team.  In his eight games this season, he finished the year with the third most Tackles per game in the American Athletic Conference.  During his College Football career at Temple, he has compiled 114 Solo Tackles and Four Sacks in 31 games played.

NFL Alumni who has played in the annual Tropical Bowl College Football All-Star game includes Indianapolis Colts Defensive Back Kenny Moore, Philadelphia Eagles Tight End Jack Stoll, Denver Broncos Kicker Will Lutz, and Baltimore Ravens Running Back Gus Edwards.  Now the Temple University Linebacker from Egg Harbor Township High School starts his journey to earn his chance to play professional football.
