Now that the 2024 NFL schedule is officially set, many Philadelphia Eagles fans are making plans for what games they will attend this season.

Some people enjoy hitting the road to see their Eagles play while others want to be part of the passionate home game crowd. But the 2024 NFL season is also an opportunity to see some South Jersey High School Graduates on the field playing against the Eagles.

What South Jersey High School Graduates Are On The Eagles Schedule?

There is already on Philadelphia's roster a graduate from Ocean County High School, Kenny Pickett, who is expected to be the Eagles' Backup Quarterback this upcoming season.  Here are five graduates from South Jersey High Schools that you can look forward to seeing play the Eagles during the 2024 NFL season:

*NFL Week 1: Eagles vs Packers in São Paulo, Brazil

-Packers Wide Receiver Bo Melton is a graduate of Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City. Melton worked his way up from the Packers Practice Squad to the main roster when injuries impacted Green Bay last season. Melton stepped up and took advantage of the opportunity to earn his chance for more this upcoming season.

Melton had 15 Catches for 211 Yards and a Receiving Touchdown in the final 3 games of the 2023 NFL season. He also caught a Touchdown Pass in the Packers' loss to the 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoffs. The expectation is that Bo Melton will be competing for the third or fourth Wide Receiver spot for this upcoming season.

*NFL Week 3: Eagles at New Orleans Saints

-Saints Tight End Juwan Johnson is a graduate of Glassboro High School. Johnson originally earned his spot on the New Orleans Roster after being an Undrafted Free Agent. Originally a Wide Receiver, Johnson made the transition to Tight End ahead of the 2022 NFL season.

Johnson is projected to be the number one Tight End for the Saints for the 2024 NFL season. Starting 23 of 29 games played at Tight End the last two seasons, Johnson had 79 Catches for 876 Receiving Yards and 11 Touchdowns.

*NFL Week 8: Eagles at Cincinnati Bengals

-Six-year NFL Tight End Mike Gesicki is a graduate of Southern Regional High School in Stafford Township. After playing the 2023 NFL season with the New England Patriots, Gesicki signed with the Bengals this offseason.

Gesicki played a secondary role in the Patriots' Offense last season as the Backup Tight End after a productive five years with the Miami Dolphins. From 2019-2022, Gesicki averaged 52 Cacthes and 603 Yards per season along with a total of 18 Touchdown Catches. The 28-year-old Tight End is expected to compete with incumbent starter Tanner Hudson for playing time.

*NFL Week 10 (Eagles at Dallas) and NFL Week 17 (Eagles vs Cowboys)

-Cowboys Safety Markquese Bell is a graduate of Bridgeton High School. In his second year in Dallas, Bell became a starter for the Cowboys Defense and finished the 2023 season second on the team in Solo Tackles (60) along with second most Forced Fumbles (2).

Bell is expected to be a contributor for the Cowboys' Defense again this upcoming season but his exact role is unknown because of coaching changes in Dallas. With new Defensive Coordinator Mike Zimmer, we will have to wait and see if Bell becomes a full-time starter at Safety or a Utility Knife-style defensive weapon for the 2024 NFL season.

*NFL Week 14: Eagles vs Carolina Panthers

-Panthers Guard J.D. DiRenzo is a graduate of Saint Joseph's High School in Hammonton. DiRenzo was an Undrafted Free Agent who earned his way onto Carolina's roster during the 2023 NFL season.

After starting 12 games at Rutgers University in 2022 and fighting for a roster spot in the 2023 NFL season, DiRenzo will be entering 2024 Panthers Training Camp with the opportunity to compete for more playing time at Guard this upcoming season.

Many people are not aware of the number of athletes from the Greater Atlantic City Region who have played in the National Football League. Football players who played at high schools in Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, and Ocean Counties have a strong representation in the NFL over the last few decades.
