The Jersey Shore has tons of options when it comes to feeding the family during a night out, but did you know one of the top family-friendly restaurants in the country is right here in Cape May County?

The popular travel website, Tripadvior.com, ranked its Best Family Restaurants "where the vibe—and the menu—is a good time for the whole fam."

Why is this such a big deal?  According to the website, fewer than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded Best of the Best, signifying the highest level of excellence in travel.

So which local establishment made the list of the best 10 in the country? Bandanas Mexican Grille in Wildwood Crest, coming in at No. 8 on the list.

Bandanas Mexican Grille, a family-run, seasonal restaurant, offers a delicious menu with a focus on fresh ingredients and homemade marinades, sauces, and salsas. The restaurant has a lighter, healthier approach to cooking and emphasizes high-quality meats, fresh-caught local fish, aged natural cheeses, and the season's best produce.

Located at 5607 Atlantic Ave in Wildwood Crest, Bandanas Mexican Grill has over 600 reviews with a rating of 4.5 stars out of five and is closed for the season, but will reopen again for the summer of 2024 on May 17th.

My husband and I were staying at a nearby hotel and gave this place a try! Wow!! The owner/waitstaff/ manager were amazing, friendly and accommodating. The food was so fresh! Tasted like I just made it in my own kitchen! We will definitely come back when in the area
Banana split was to die for!

This place was amazing! Our entire party could barely finish our food, there was so much (but we made sure to leave room for dessert!). We weren’t sure how busy it was going to be since it was a Friday night but we were seated quickly and the service was above and beyond. Our 11 month old started to get a little fussy, of course as soon as the food came out like it always seems to happen, but they were so great at interacting with him making funny faces with him as they walked by or even bringing out a light up pumpkin to distract him!

This restaurant has become an absolute must for any future visits!,

We popped in for dinner on a weekday in September and saw it was busy so we thought it would be good and it was. We enjoyed our meal but were disappointed we didn't leave room for dessert. Next table had ice cream sundays that looked increadable. Next time i'll leave room.

This is the hidden gem of the crest! Their food is the best mexican I have ever had! Don’t skip the street tacos!

Absolutely scrumptious food (Grilled Fish & Grilled Shrimp tacos were out of this world😋) and amazing service! Our server, Sierra, was terrific! We will definitely be back.

10 Favorite Things about Cape May County, NJ

The history of Cape May County predates the formation of the United States of America by about 100 years as it was one of the first counties established in what was originally known as the West New Jersey Provence. Cape May County's historical records go back as far as 1685 and the County was originally established in 1692. Cape May County has been a huge part of my life and that of my family's for decades, so I wanted to share with you my favorite aspects of the southern most County in the state of New Jersey.
