A traffic stop in South Jersey Saturday turned into a methamphetamine bust.

Police Conduct Search on Fries Mill Road

The Washington Township Police Department says the scene unfolded over the weekend on Fries Mill Road.

That's where two of their officers conducted an investigation and a K9 gave a positive indication for drugs on the vehicle.

Meth and Other Items Found in Duffle Bag

Police said a search uncovered the following items, which were all hidden inside of a duffle bag:

  • 24 grams of methamphetamine
  • Digital scale
  • Multiple cell phones

Suspect Facing Serious Charges

The unidentified person in this case was arrested and charged with distribution of methamphetamine and turned over to the county jail.

If convicted, he faces up to a decade in prison and a $150,000 fine.
