When we’re bundled up in our winter gear there is usually one body part that is exposed, and that is our lips.  The cold and wind can cause our lips to become severely dry if we don't take care of them, but there is something we can do about it.

So how do we stay chapped-lipped free? Well there’s all sorts of alternatives that will help prevent dry lips. Follow these four easy steps and get the smooth, irresistible lips you deserve.

    Lip Balm

    Heavily apply lip your lip balm, as many times as you need to. Especially now that the weather is cooler, you’ll definitely need them to stay moisturized. There are a variety of lip balms to choose from at your local drugstore, so this one is easy. If your chapped lips are a little bit more severe, try medicated lip balms like brands like Blistex or Burt’s Bees.

    Stay Hydrated

    It is important to stay hydrated at all times. Drink plenty of water each day and it will not only serve as a natural moisturizer for your lips, but it will also benefit your health.

    Humidifier

    Purchase a humidifier. Our homes can sometimes get super dry, and in turn cause dry lips. The humidifier will work against the dryness in the home and put moisture back into the air. Allowing your lips to absorb the moisture that will be put back in the atmosphere of your home.

    Avoid Sun Exposure

    Before venturing outdoors make sure to apply a lip balm that has a minimum of SPF 15 to protect your lips from the sun.
