An Atlantic City man is facing charges after cops say he slashed a man with a knife during an altercation.

Atlantic City Police say on Monday evening they responded to Sovereign and Atlantic Avenues for a report of a man who was cut on his hand. The victim, identified as a 55-year-old man from Philadelphia, received a laceration to his hand after he was involved in an altercation with a man who fled the scene before cops arrived.

Cops were able to identify the suspect as 52-year-old Dane Jones of Atlantic City, who was arrested in the Tropicana Casino bus lobby while he was still in possession of a knife.

Jones is facing aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose charges; he was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The victim was treated at ARMC-City for his injury.
