It was a cloudy and chilly morning at Garden Greenhouse and Nursery but that didn't stop over 100 Cat Country listeners from showing up at our Great Pumpkin Drop! Bundled up in hats and scarves, people lined up to claim their Cat balls and wait for the giant pumpkin to hit the ground.

After all of our contestants checked in, our Cat crew stuffed the massive pumpkin donated from Duffield's Farm Market in Sewell with the 107 Cat balls. Once that was good to go, the worker's of Garton's Rigging took over to dangle the great pumpkin above the blacktop.

The pumpkin accompanied by a Cat Country banner swayed in the air for a moment before the crane tilted it, causing the pumpkin to come crashing down. Cat balls and pumpkin guts splattered everywhere and lucky Cat ball number 81 landed closest to the target!

Congratulations to our winner Peg McCarthy, who won the $1,000 grand prize! Congrats go out to Sharon Wolfe as well, who scored a pair of tickets to see Eric Church.

We want to thank everyone who came out to see the great spectacle! For those who might have blinked and missed the drop - or those who weren't there at all - check out some pics and a video which will fill in the details for you.
