It was unsettling to see one price on a gas station sign above $4.00 -- now we're starting to see two prices over the $4 mark in South Jersey.

Yesterday, I got $20 worth of gas. I started my car and the gas gauge barely moved. My wife, yesterday, got $10 worth of gas and the attendant didn't leave the pump to wait on other cars since it only took 30 seconds for the pump to click-off.

According to the contributors of newjerseygasprices.com, the $3.75 or $3.85 that we're paying here at the Jersey Shore is cheap, compared to some parts of the state where regular unleaded is close to or already over $4.00.

The good news? The average price for regular unleaded gas in the country actually dropped one penny over the past week.
