A former custodian at a Cumberland County school had his day in court this week after being caught on video committing some of the most disturbing acts imaginable, including contaminating cafeteria food with his bodily fluids.

Giovanni Impellizzeri,  27, of East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, pled guilty to official misconduct and possession of child pornography and sexual abuse material.

But the unthinkable acts he committed are much more disgusting than those charges sound.

Impellizzeri worked for the Upper Deerfield Township school district at the Elizabeth F. Moore School, which runs from grades 3 to 5 from 2019 to 2023, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office.

Former School Janitor's Unthinkable Actions

The behavior described by prosecutors included “spraying bleach into a container of cucumbers that were likely to have been served to children as well as “wiping his anus, penis and testicles, and spitting saliva on kitchen utensils and bread which was likely used to prepare food and served to children.”

Video clips show Impellizzeri rubbing his genitals on the cafeteria utensils and school food, masturbating on pillows and bowls and contaminating various school items with spit, urine, and feces, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Prosecutors said video from the suspect's phone showed him using a dish sponge from the teachers' lounge to wipe urinals and toilets. He is then seen putting the sponge back in the lounge.

Another video allegedly showed the troubled Impellizzeri rubbing hoagie rolls on his private areas before placing them back into a container.

Impellizzerri shared the videos to an online chat group.

Cumberland County Found No Health Risks

Somewhat amazingly, county health officials found the health risks to anyone who came in contact with the tainted items were minimal and no related illnesses were reported.

Impellizzeri pleaded guilty on Jan. 13 to a second-degree count of official misconduct and third-degree possession of child pornography.

The recommended sentence on the misconduct charge is 5 years before he is eligible for parole. The recommended sentence for possessing child pornography is 3 years, which would run consecutive to the 5-year term.

He will be sentenced on March 28th.
