The 2026 edition of the MAAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments return to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City for six days of basketball action. The winner of each tournament gets an automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament and are in the running for the National Championship.

After the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) signed a new . But a new multiyear media rights agreement for multiplatform broadcasting of sporting events with ESPN, there is a new schedule of games for the 2026 edition of their college basketball tournament.

Starting on Thursday, March 5th, there will be four days of single elimination play culminating with the Women's Championship game on Monday, March 9th, and the Men's Championship Game on Tuesday, March 10th.

Three South Jersey High School Graduates at Boardwalk Hall for 2026 MAAC Tournaments

On the same weekend there will be four South Jersey Boxers in action down the street at Tropicana Atlantic City, people can also come out and support these South Jersey High School Alumni who will be in action with their MAAC Basketball Teams:

*Marist Guard Kasey Bretones (Mainland Regional High School)
-Thursday, March 5th - Women's First Round (Game 1) - No. 8 Manhattan vs. No. 9 Marist at 12:00 PM
-The 5'11" Sophmore was voted the MVP of the Cape Atlantic League Tournament in her junior and senior years of High School. After transferring from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Bretones has carved out a role in the Marist backcourt rotation. She has 16 Steals in 19 games played this season

*Merrimack Forward David Munro (Camden High School)
-Friday, March 6th - Men's Quarterfinals (Game 3) - No. 1 Merrimack vs. Winner Game 1 at 6:00 PM
-The Freshman averaged 19 Points per game his senior year of High School, and was named New Jersey Athletics All-State Second-Team.

*Merrimack Guard Tye Dorset (Lenape High School)
-Friday, March 6th - Men's Quarterfinals (Game 3) - No. 1 Merrimack vs. Winner Game 1 at 6:00 PM
-The 6'3" Sophomore is in his first year as a starter, averaging 11.9 Points per Game and 1.82 Steals per game this season. Dorset has played in 50 games over the last two years for a Merrimack team that is 39-25 during his time playing at the school.
