Mays Landing, N.J. — An Atlantic City man has pleaded guilty to third-degree endangering the welfare of a child after police say he attacked and threatened a woman in front of her two young children.
37-year-old Yusef Gordy entered his plea last Thursday. An agreement calls for a recommended three-year state prison sentence.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said on December 18th, 2025, Atlantic City Police responded to a residence for a domestic violence call.
Two children, ages 5 and 9, met officers outside and told them Gordy had attacked their mother.
Officers spoke with the woman, who had visible injuries to her face, and confirmed she had been attacked and threatened by Gordy.
The assault occurred in front of both children.
